General Care Janitorial Technician, PART-TIME, Permanent; $12/Hr.

The General Care Janitorial Technician (GCJT) provides superior cleaning services onsite at Touch of Magic Cleaning client locations under limited supervision and works in a collaborative relationship with other Touch of Magic Cleaning team members.

 

Responsibilities for GCJT

Empty trash and recycling receptacles into the appropriate waste bins and ensure that receptacles are kept clean and free of smell

Vacuum all carpeted areas and spot clean when necessary

Remove gum or heavy residue

Auto scrub using the appropriate cleaning supplies

Wash windows, mirrors and glass surfaces and ensure they are free of streaks

Clean and disinfect restrooms and ensure that soap and paper dispensers are well-stocked

Replace urinal screens/deodorant blocks; empty trash can receptacles, replace with new bag as necessary

Take inventory of cleaning supplies and materials and order more as needed

Clean break room; replace trash receptacles and paper towels

Clean fitting room partitions, polish main aisle stainless steel partitions

Inform maintenance manager of anything that is broken or not functioning correctly so that the issue is resolved promptly

Communicate daily with Touch of Magic Cleaning team

 

Qualifications for GCJT

Capable of following instructions and learn new techniques

Ability to adapt to changing conditions

Strong time management skills in order to ensure all work is completed by the end of shift

Demonstrate an understanding of standard cleaning supplies and equipment

Self-starter who takes the initiative to determine and complete necessary tasks, with minimal supervision

Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team

Ability to push and pull general cleaning equipment over concrete, tile and carpet

Must be physically capable of performing 4+ hours of physical work each day

Able to lift up to 45 pounds for short periods of time

Possess a strong attention to detail

Must be able to pass a background check

Effective communication

 

Work Schedule

Monday -Sunday, 6-11 AM

Saturday-Sunday, 12-5 PM
